一、 全球大师系列讲座

Persons and Selves“个人与自我”

It is generally agreed that the notions of person and self are connected with one another: no person without a self, no self without a person. According to the theory of personhood defended here, you will be a person insofar as you explicitly or implicitly hold out an image of who you are—a persona—that you invite others, and indeed yourself, to rely on. According to this theory, that persona will be yourself in an important sense: that in which we may reasonably to counsel you to ‘know yourself’, ‘be yourself’ or even ‘love yourself’. A further merit of the theory is that it enables us to distinguish that construal of the self from other construals in the literature.

人们普遍认可个人与自我这两个概念是彼此联系的：没有自我就没有个人，没有个人就没有自我。根据我在这里要捍卫的人格理论，只要你明确或隐含地持有某种关于你是谁的形象（一个人格面具），从而邀请他人或者自己去做出回应，那么你就是一个个人。根据这个理论，那个人格面具在很重要的意义上就是你自己：我们可以建议你“认识你自己”“成为你自己”甚至“爱你自己”。这个理论的进一步的价值在于，它让我们能够区分这个对自我的理解和现有文献中的其他理解。

菲利普·佩蒂特（Philip Pettit）

普林斯顿大学最高等级的讲席教授——大学讲席教授（洛克菲洛政治学与人类价值大学讲席教授[L. S. Rockefeller University Professor of Politics and Human Values at Princeton University]），同时是澳大利亚国立大学最高等级的讲席教授——杰出大学讲席教授（Distinguished University Professor of Philosophy）；佩蒂特教授常年担任澳大利亚人文与社会科学院研究员；2009年入选美国科学院，2010年入选爱尔兰皇家科学院荣誉会员，2013年入选英国科学院通讯院士。佩蒂特教授被澳大利亚悉尼大学、加拿大皇后大学、北爱尔兰贝尔法斯特大学授予荣誉教授；被爱尔兰国立大学、希腊克里特大学、雅典大学、瑞典伦德大学、加拿大蒙特利尔大学、皇后大学、北爱尔兰贝尔法斯特大学授予荣誉博士学位；2019年受邀在牛津大学发表“洛克讲座”。

刘玮

刘玮，香港中文大学博士，中国人民大学哲学教授；加州大学伯克利分校、慕尼黑大学、普林斯顿大学访问学者；主要研究领域为古希腊哲学、西方伦理学与政治哲学，出版《公益与私利：亚里士多德实践哲学研究》，主编《西方政治哲学史》第一卷（从古希腊到宗教改革），发表中英文论文三十余篇，出版学术翻译十余部；曾获北京市青年教师教学基本功比赛一等奖、最佳指导教师奖、首都劳动奖章。

魏德东，中国哲学博士，信誉最好的20个网投网站教授，国际佛学研究中心主任 。主要研究领域为宗教社会学、佛教学。著作有《宗教社会学大师译丛》《佛教唯识哲学要义》《宗教的文化自觉》等。曾任美国学术团体委员会(ACLS)访问学者（1999），美国德州佛教会特聘教授，美国贝勒大学博士后（2007—2008），纽约哥伦比亚大学孔子学院中方院长（2016—2019）。

Nicholas Adams

Nicholas Adams is Professor of Philosophical Theology at the University of Birmingham. He is the author of Habermas and Theology (CUP, 2006) and Eclipse of Grace: Divine and Human Action in Hegel (Wiley-Blackwell, 2013). He has an interest in the interpretation of multiple religious traditions in the history of Western Philosophy, especially the period around Kant and Hegel. He has lectured in China on Hegel’s interpretation of Chinese religion.
